Lighting and Electrical Film Entry Level Course

This course has been designed for Level 3 Electricians seeking to gain the necessary knowledge and expertise required to enter the film industry.

The course is IPAF certified and you will receive their accreditation upon successful completion.

The full-time four-week intensive course is comprised of the following modules:

Week One 

Introduction to the Film Industry

An in-depth look at all areas related to the power distribution required to run an efficient film set.

This includes hands-on cabling and other tasks. 

Week Two 

The safe and efficient use of all grip equipment and rigging of different lighting fixtures, along with all types of textiles, flags and nets

Week Three

We focus on studio lighting.

This looks at all light sources used in a studio environment along with training on the operation and maintainance of the various light sources needed to operate efficiently in a studio & location environment .

Week Four

A detailed look at the operation of cameras.

Lens analysis, camera interaction and camera operation.

Course debrief to include one-to-one discussions about the course along with individual future options.

Price per applicant £4495 plus VAT payable in advance.

The next course is TBA, at our training facility in Park Royal, London, situated amongst many film studios and production companies.
